About Summit Christian Academy
We prepare students who are motivated to confidently impact the world for Jesus Christ
When God created this world, He designed every detail of His creation with the primary purpose to reveal Himself — He wanted to make Himself known. This is known as “revelatory.” And since God is perfect in every way, there can be no higher purpose for His creative acts.
At Summit Christian Academy, our Bible-based education seeks to help students recognize God’s purpose for learning in all of their subjects, such as math, music, science, history and more. In turn, our students learn to know God better, praise Him more and serve Him faithfully.
So, “revelatory” best describes the basis for our approach to education. Once a student sees God in His rightful place as most deserving of praise and glory, it is amazing how the rest of his life flows so beautifully from that starting point.
We would love to have the opportunity to help you educate your son or daughter at SCA.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 10:35)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Luke 3:21-22; 2 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Deuteronomy 6:4)
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and is true God and true man. (John 1:1, 14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Luke 1:35)
We believe that all things were created by God. Angels were created as ministering agents, though some, under the leadership of Satan, fell from their sinless state to become agents of evil. The universe was created in six literal days and is continuously sustained by God; thus, it both reflects His glory and reveals His truth. Human beings were directly created, not evolved, in the very image of God. As reasoning moral agents, they are responsible under God for understanding and governing themselves and the world. (Genesis 1:1-31; Genesis 2:1-3, 18-25; Genesis 3:1-19; Exodus 20:11; Psalm 8:3; Psalm 90:2, 148:1-5; Job 1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:12-17; Luke 10:18; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 3:9; Hebrews 1:3, 6, 14; Hebrews 11:3; Colossians 2:15; Revelation 7:11-12; Revelation 12:8-10)
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby, incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death, which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and actually sin in thought, word and deed. (Romans 5:12-21)
We believe that the only way to be saved is by faith in the blood sacrifice, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in the eternal security of the believers. (John 3:16; John 10:28; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, that He ever liveth to make intercession for all that come to God by Him, and that He is the only Mediator between God and man. (Mark 16:9; Hebrews 9:24; 1 John 2:1)
We believe that each one who accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior has been baptized by the Holy Spirit into the invisible church, which is the Body of Christ, and is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
We believe the Bible teaches that every saved person should be baptized by immersion and added to the membership of a local body of believers and practice regular attendance in a Bible-preaching, fundamental church. We believe that the sign gifts of the Spirit were given only for the apostolic era, providing revelation and authenticating the ministry of the apostles and the early church. We do not believe that the modern charismatic movement is consistent with the teaching of God’s Word. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:47)
We believe that the two ordinances of the Church are the Lord’s Supper and water baptism; that the immersion of a believer in water is Christian baptism and that it is the will and command of Christ. (Romans 6:1-5; Colossians 2:12; Acts 2:41, 8:12, 36-38; 9:18, 10:47).
We believe in the imminent rapture of the Church before the Great Tribulation period, after which Christ will come with His Church to set up His kingdom of heaven on Earth. (Titus 2:13; Philippians 3:20; John 14: 1-6; 1 Thessalonians 4) We believe in a physical return (second coming) of Christ to earth who will, at his return, judge the nations and establish a messianic kingdom. This kingdom will be a specific rule of God on earth that will last for 1,000 years. This kingdom will also serve as a fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel and as an exaltation of Christ Himself as King. All believers are to be longing for this coming kingdom and living in light of this knowledge.” (Isaiah 2:1-5; Isaiah 11; Ezekiel 37:21-28; Daniel 7:13-18; Zechariah 14:1-9; Acts 1:10-11; Luke 19:11-12; I Peter 1; 2 Peter 3; Revelation 19-20
We believe that Satan is a spiritual being, the author of the fall and that he will be eternally punished. (Genesis 3:15; Job 1:6-7, Revelation 20:2-10)
We believe that those who die in Christ are absent from the body and consciously present with the Lord in bliss. Those who die out of Christ are in conscious torment in Hades until the judgment of the Great White Throne when they will be cast into the Lake of Fire. (2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 23:43, 16:19-31)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; in the eternal conscious punishment of the lost and the eternal joy of the saved. (1 Corinthians 15:28-29; Matthew 25:46; Isaiah 33:14; Revelation 21:4)
We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether premarital, extramarital, heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. We believe that viewing of pornographic material or websites; and sexual harassment violates biblical standards. (Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13,15-16; Matt. 19:4-6, 9; Rom. 1:18-31; I Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20; I Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7). (Adopted 5/15/18)
We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:9-20, 5:3-5, 1 Thess. 4:3-8, 1 Peter 1:15-16). (Adopted 5/15/18)
We believe that the behavior for Christians commanded in the Bible includes, but is not limited to, refraining from such activities as the abuse of alcoholic beverages, the abuse of tobacco, use of illicit drugs, the use of vulgar and profane language, or other actions that would reflect negatively on a Christian’s testimony for Christ (Romans 12: 1-2, Col. 3:17, I Thess 2:10; 5:22, Titus 2:7-8, James 3:17,18, 1 John 3:1-3 ) (Adopted 5/15/18)
