Summit Christian Academy is excited to continue its partnership in ministry with local homeschool families. At SCA, we believe that God has given parents the responsibility of providing their children with a Bible-based education. For some families, that means sending their children to a school like SCA. For others, God has called and equipped parents to homeschool. We never want to view different callings as being in competition with each other. We believe we are partners in educating our children.

SCA offers courses that are designed to meet the needs of homeschool families.

2020-2021
The Homeschool Connection is designed to help parents fulfill requirements for home-schooling and to give students the opportunity to be involved in a school setting on a part-time basis.  Families who are accepted into the Connections program will be able to choose from a list of courses offered at the school for the 2020-2021 school year.  High school students may benefit by enhancing their educational experience with traditional classroom instruction.

For the 2020-21 school year, Homeschool Connection courses and activities include:

Elementary
1st through 6th grades

    • Music
    • Physical Education
Secondary
7th through 12th grades

    • English/Literature
    • Social Studies
    • Math
    • Science
    • Bible (Please call the school to inquire about specific courses offered.)
    • Foundations of Godly Living/Missions Ministry Trip (Grades 11 & 12) (½ credit) (Meets once each week and includes a one-week missions ministry trip to South America.)
    • Physical Education
    • Interscholastic Soccer
    • Interscholastic Basketball
    • Drama
    • Music
      The cost will be $60 for a year of PE classes and $900 per year for each of the other courses.  There is a $45 application fee per student, which will be deducted from the total tuition due.
      The price for daily academic courses will be $100 per month for 9 months – that’s less than $5 per hour of instruction, and all courses are taught by highly qualified teachers.
