Tuition Rates for 2018-2019

Preschool 

  • $3,000 — Half day, 5-days-a-week program (3-4 years old)
  • $5,000 — Full-day, 5-days-a-week program (3-4 years old)

Kindergarten (5-years-old) through Grade 10

  • $5,450 — 1 student
  • $9,400 — 2 students
  • $12,450 — 3 students*
  • $14,570 — 4 students*
  • $15,700 — 5 or 6 students*

*If you are enrolling three or more students in kindergarten through grade 10, you may qualify for the SCA Family Tuition Plan. See details below.

Financial Aid at SCA

In an effort to provide our parents with helpful information about financial aid which may be available to help defray the cost of enrolling students at SCA, the following information is provided. We encourage all of our parents to review this material, note application deadlines and procedures and then apply as appropriate. Please contact Dr. Marianne Rivers if you have questions.

During the 2017-2018 school year, 25 families and 46 students (approximately 62%) received financial aid, ranging from $500 to $5,000 in aid with the average award totaling $1,407.

SCA Family Tuition Plan

Families who enroll three or more students in kindergarten through grade 10 may apply for the family tuition rate. PK3 and PK4 are not included in this program. Please contact SCA for an application.

  • Application fee: None
  • Eligibility: All children from a family at grade levels K5 through grade 10 must be enrolled at SCA unless SCA determines that the school cannot meet the educational needs of one or more students from that family. At least three students must be enrolled in grades K5 through 10 at SCA in order to qualify for the FTP. The annual application requires the completion of a recommendation by the family’s pastor or other church leader.
  • Application deadline: September 1.
  • Notification of tuition total: Upon the students’ acceptance to SCA. The 2018-19 Family Tuition Plan rate for more than two students enrolled in grades K5 through 10 is $9,400.
Early Payment Discount

A 5% reduction in tuition will be applied for families who pay one-half of the total tuition due before Sept. 1, 2018 and the second half before Jan. 15, 2019. The 5% reduction is not available to families approved for the Family Tuition Plan.

CEO America

Provides scholarships for students currently enrolled in a public school or online school program who wish to transfer to SCA. This scholarship is not available to students currently enrolled at SCA. Application needs to be submitted by mail along with documentation of all income sources.

  • Application fee: None
  • Eligibility: Student MUST be entering grades 2-11. Scholarships good for two years; must reapply the second year.
  • Application deadline: July 20
  • Notification of scholarship: August 1
  • Amount of scholarship: Based on household income – up to $3,500 or 80% of tuition plus $2,000 may be available for additional children in the family.
Commonwealth Charitable Management, Inc. (PreK-12)

Provides scholarships for preschool through high school. Application can be submitted electronically, faxed or mailed along with most recent tax return (front page of IRS form 1040) of the person who claims the child as a dependent.

  • Application fee: None
  • Eligibility: Based on household income – less than $75,000 annually, with an additional allowance of $15,000 per dependent.
  • Application deadline: September 1
  • Notification of scholarship: Late fall or by December
  • Amount of scholarship: Dependent on funds available; usually about $500-$700 per student.
Family Choice Scholarship

Provides scholarships for preschool (3 and 4-year-olds) through high school students. Application can be downloaded, completed and mailed.

  • Application fee: $30
  • Eligibility: Based on financial need.
  • Application deadline: Check website for deadline
  • Notification of scholarship: End of September
  • Amount of scholarship: Dependent on funds available; usually ranges between $300 – $1,000 per student.
Folds of Honor

Provides scholarships for children of fallen and disabled military service members.  Scholarships are used to subsidize the costs of tuition, school books, fees, approved educational tutoring, and other approved educational expenses that SCA may deem appropriate.

  • Application fee: None
  • Eligibility: Children of fallen and disabled military service members.
  • Application deadline: From Feb. 1 to March 31 ONLY.
  • Notification of scholarship: Spring/early summer
  • Amount of scholarship: Scholarships are awarded up to $5,000. Award amount is based on the “unmet need” calculated on the Financial Need page of the application.
OSTC – Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program

Provides scholarships for kindergarten through high school students. No application: Discuss details with Dr. Marianne Rivers

  • Eligibility: Student must be living in a district where they would otherwise have to attend a low-achieving school. Based on financial need.
  • Application deadline: None
  • Notification of scholarship: Late fall into December.
  • Amount of scholarship: Dependent on funds available.
United Way Scholarship

Provides scholarships for pre-kindergarten through high school students.
