Learn at SCA

Our goal is to develop life-long learners who diligently seek a personal relationship with the Lord. The core curriculum includes Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Bible. Smartboard technology and other supplemental programs provide a dynamic learning environment for our students. Fine Arts education including Art, Choir, and Drama completes our program. This well-rounded curriculum approach encourages the development of each child, building upon individual strengths.

Learning Lab at Summit Christian Academy

SCA is pleased to announce our new Learning Lab program under the direction of Dr. Marianne Rivers.  There will be no additional cost for students accepted into this program. The Learning Lab will provide learning support for students and will be an extension of classroom instruction. It will help to reinforce skills students are learning, and provide students with additional academic support in the content areas.

Benefits to the students include:

— Intentional Instruction Time

— Academic Support

— Small Group and Individualized Learning

— Academic Confidence

— Assignment and Testing Accommodations

The Learning Lab will provide additional academic perspective and methods, review skills, and target areas of need for students. This may involve re-teaching, using manipulatives, working with students one-on-one, working in small groups, or working in the grade-level classroom. It will also offer program advancement options to meet the needs of high performance learners. Instruction will be crafted to provide learning enrichment for exceptional students, foster critical thinking, encourage creative problem solving skills, and facilitate cooperative learning skills among students.
